Topics
This Round Table will address Micro and Nano Technologies including: Micro Electromechanical Systems (MEMS), Nano Technologies and Micro-Systems Technology (MST).
Topics particularly encouraged for MEMS and MST, are:
- Flight qualification procedures and outcomes
- Micro-packaging and system integration
- Design and modelling of MEMS and MST
- Test, reliability and evaluation for space
- Technology transfer to and from space industry
- Flight feedback from in-orbit demonstration (IOD)
- Usage in space projects
- Technology roadmaps
- Current strategy for the development of MNT for space
Since a few years, the interest of the space sector for nanotechnologies increased, confirmed by the growing number of papers submission and dedicated session of the last ESA round tables. This 8th MNT Round Table will follow on that logic by presenting the current development and achievement of nanotechnologies for space and discuss realistic applications. Topics of particular interest are:
- Nanomaterials test centres
- Improvement of material intrinsic properties with nanomaterials (thermal and electrical conductivities, mechanical properties, radiation resistance,…)
- Nanoparticles Engineering
- Characterisation of nanomaterials and nano-objects
- Nanotechnologies for microelectronics and microwave devices
- Nanotechnologies for power applications
- Upscale strategy
