The workshop will report on the progress of activities related to the Large Antenna Working Group and the working plans established by the European Space Agency in cooperation with industry, research institutes and with support of ESA member states.
The workshop will present the state of the art and explore innovative approaches for large antennas. It will embrace all antennas that request to be “built in space” so typically above 4 meters with applicability from L to Ka-band.
Representatives of scientific society and industry will be invited to the workshop. Exchange of new ideas and further trends’ discussion will take place.
The status of running activities will be presented, with emphasis on new hardware developed. This will be supported by a visit to the ESTEC test facilities, where a deployable structure demonstrator recently developed should be deployed
