ESA/NASA/CSA Joint Symposium on Wireless Technologies for Space Applications
The ESA / NASA / CSA joint Symposium on Wireless Technologies for Space Applications
(Wireless4Space 2012) will be held on September 19-21, 2012, at the Canadian Space Agency in Montreal, Canada.
The purpose of the symposium is to bring together Space Agencies, Industrial performers, and Research institutions to present and discuss their vision and expertise in the field of Wireless Technologies for Space Applications. This is a technology- and applications-oriented symposium and shall serve as a tool supporting Agencies and the Industry in the definition and harmonization of developments in the field. International participation is encouraged to promote solutions favoring interoperability, reconfigurability, and reusability that can be accepted worldwide by the main Space Agencies and Industry.
Wireless4Space 2012 will focus on the applications of RF and non-RF wireless systems in spaceflight, with an emphasis on ground, on-board, and proximity wireless networking solutions (typically centimeters to a few kilometers range). It will provide a unique opportunity to share ideas, exchange related R&D experiences, and learn about state-of-the-art techniques and technologies, as well as to discuss current and future space applications needs.
